I began my work with this project in early 2023. During preproduction, I met extensively with my director, producer, production designer, art coordinator, and the rest of the art department team. Together, we developed a strong sense of who these characters were and how we could communicate that message via wardrobe. With detailed lookbooks and script notes, I met with the each actor to discuss my vision, facilitate clear communication, listen to any concerns, and gauge comfortability levels..

During my sourcing process, I scoured thrift stores, online reselling platforms, popular retailers, and the actors’ closets. Some pieces even belonged to crew members who had a matching tie or necklace that I was looking for. Each ensemble was carefully curated and tailored to the creative team’s preferences.

While on-set, I managed and organized each garment and accessory to create an efficient, stream-lined process. I kept documentation of every wardrobe piece required for each scene, how it was to be styled, and how it fit within the context of the story. I watched the monitors at each take, met with the actors before and after each scene, and ensured that every thread was in place.
