Fashion Snoops
The Ask
As a video editor, work closely with a dedicated team of video professionals and creative directors of all markets to produce short-form conceptual videos to compliment forecasting presentations.
The Process
Each video created and published to the Fashion Snoops website is thoroughly researched, planned, and edited in collaboration with the creative directors within the respective market. I am responsible for videos that will be used in forecasts for market-specific Seasonal Narratives, as well as company-wide Color Shifts, Anchor Colors, and Design Aesthetics.
The process begins with reviewing the creative briefs, image banks, and in-progress stories for each presentation. With that information, I start researching and sourcing high-resolution video clips that align closely with the mood, tone, and forecast. From there, my research is downloaded and the editing process begins. Working with Adobe Premiere Pro, I craft a strong edit including necessary color grading, music, and visual effects. This draft is then sent out to everyone involved in the decision making process of that forecast- the video director, the creative director, and the company leads if necessary. I compile any notes, thoughts, or ideas and apply this to the final edit that will be published for our clients via our website and, in some cases, used during our business-to-business presentations.
The Product
Working as a video editor at Fashion Snoops has been an invaluable tool in my growth as a creative professional as a post-graduate. I have been able to fine-tune my post-production skills, develop a strong understanding of the fashion and forecasting industries, and work alongside some extremely talented and hard-working fashion professionals. I am exceptionally grateful for my experience thus far and look forward to my future as a video editor with a specialization in fashion.
